Operations · tools built with AI

I work in operations. When a task keeps wasting time, I build the tool that fixes it.

Bookings, sales data, shifts, VR headsets. Five years on the front line of service businesses, and now AI as my build partner. Every tool on this page started as a problem in my own working day.

Built on the job

Three problems from my own work. For each one: what was wrong, what I built, and whether it's actually being used.

Sales

Three booking platforms, one daily view

The problem

Checking how sales were going meant opening Regiondo, Ecwid and Fever, one after the other.

What I built

A dashboard that brings the three together: totals, tickets, channels, products and a daily trend. A switch shows sales by purchase date or by visit date, because they answer different questions. Budget tracking and forecast scenarios sit on top.

Where it stands

In daily use. It's the first thing I open every morning.

Shifts

From reminder to confirmed, in one tap

The problem

Weekend shifts had to be confirmed, and it wasn't always clear who had replied and who hadn't.

What I built

A workflow that links Google Sheets to Telegram: automatic reminders, a confirm button, and a live list of who still needs to answer. Plus a mobile web app for checking shifts.

Where it stands

Workflow built. The web app is a working prototype.

Hi Alex, here are your shifts.

VR operations

Headsets ready before the group arrives

The problem

Every VR tour needs a set of headsets with the right content, the right settings and valid licences, every time.

What I built

Scripts that load content, apply configurations and keep track of devices and licences, so preparing a set is a routine instead of a manual check.

Where it stands

Part of day-to-day VR operations.

  • Budget models and business simulations for new VR experiences: prices, attendance, costs.
  • Import scripts that merge sales exports and check them before they reach the reports.

How I build

Start where it hurts

I begin from the real workflow, usually one I'm doing myself, and write down what keeps going wrong.

Decide what it must do

Before touching any tool: who uses it, what they need to see, and which rules the numbers follow.

Build it with AI

I direct the AI, read what it produces, and fix it until it does exactly what the job requires.

Use it for real

It goes into the actual work the next day. If nobody opens it a week later, it isn't finished.

Where I come from

2021Tennis Club Ambrosiano

Started on the evening reception desk, became reception lead: bookings, payments, cash and bank reconciliation.

2023Aspria

Junior accountant for three clubs. Helped set up reception and accounting for a new opening in Rome.

2024 → todayWAY Experience

Operations, accounting and B2C sales for VR tours. This is where the tools above were born.

Is there a process eating your team's time?

Tell me about it. I'm looking for a team where I can combine hands-on operations with building practical tools.
